Today Nova Scotians vote in a rare summer election.

Unfortunately, Nova Scotia elections are the one and ONLY time that your political opinion counts so make it count! It could be years before you have this chance again. Don’t waste it!

The Atlantica Party is the only Nova Scotia political party that supports citizen led binding referenda. 

“The Atlantica Party believes citizens have the right bring forward issues for a binding vote,” said Jonathan Dean, Leader of the Atlantica Party. “This will allow the citizenry to push issues forward despite political game playing by the old-fashioned parties.”

The Atlantica Party (AP) supports making the election cycle predictable by legislating fixed elections dates in Nova Scotia. AP also supports calling the election day Joseph Howe Day.

Nova Scotia is the only province in Canada without some form of fixed election dates. However, there are many benefits to a standardized election cycle:

The Atlantica Party will reform Nova Scotia's electoral system and make elections fairer. 

With more than two parties competing in elections, the First-Past-The-Post (FPTP) system has broken down and no longer accurately reflects the wishes of Nova Scotians. 

Today, the Atlantica Party starts its campaign for the Nova Scotia Election.

“We are very excited to announce our candidates and our Election Platform,” said Jonathan Dean, Leader of the Atlantica Party. “We have the most exciting set of policies when compared to the other parties, no-nonsense policies designed to make Nova Scotia a ‘have’ province and fix our broken political system.”

Today, a provincial party in the ongoing provincial election Nova Scotian election, the Atlantica Party (AP), have resolved to formally approach the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission, or CRTC,  concerning a media campaign to silence the two parties in their election work and manipulate the voting results in the election.

The CRTC is an independent public authority in charge of regulating and supervising Canadian broadcasting and telecommunications in the interest of the public interest.

Atlantica Party Leader, Jonathan Dean, recently sent a letter to the Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia, Honourable Arthur J. LeBlanc, ONS, QC, regarding concerns over the 41st provincial election in Nova Scotia.
