Atlantica Party founder cuts ties with party - New Interim Leader Appointed.

After more than 10 years of struggling to build the Atlantica Party, Mr. Jonathan Dean finally realised success in 2017 when the party ran 15 candidates across Nova Scotia in the provincial election.  Then, on January 2nd, unexpectedly Mr. Dean announced that he was stepping down as leader and leaving the party.

While Mr. Dean’s decision to step down came as a surprise to everyone, it has furthered the resolve of the Atlantica Party Executive to bring its founder’s vision of common sense and prosperity to all Nova Scotians.

By a unaimous vote, the party’s Executive has appointed Ryan Smyth as Interim Leader.

Mr. Smyth is a successful entrepreneur and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience. Mr. Smyth has worked independently in his own business, for venture startups, SMEs, and has also served a host of Fortune 100 and 500 companies. He is a recipient of the Australian Governor-General’s Bravery Medal, as well as several awards for software he has written. In the 2017 Nova Scotia provincial election he ran as the Atlantica candidate for Antigonish (02).

Mr. Smyth will remain as Interim Leader until a qualified replacement can be found to carry on the Atlantica Party vision.

Meanwhile, the Executive is committed to lead the way for the brighter future for all Nova Scotians that our founder laid out.
